Our fabrics
Palem takes the greatest care in the selection of natural materials that make up its exclusive models, more respectful of the environment
PALEM takes the greatest care in selecting the materials that make up its exclusive models. Very qualitative by their aspect, their richness, their singularity, but also their composition, the materials chosen to bring elegance and refinement to each piece of the collection. PALEM adopts "slow fashion" by using natural or artificial materials made from vegetable fibres, in order to ensure irreproachable quality of clothing and durability. Touch is also a fundamental element : the garment is a second skin, nothing is more pleasant to feel good when in contact with the material.

Cotton
01Viscose fiber is made from wood pulp, sustainable viscose uses wood pulp from sustainable and labeled forests (FSC and PEFC labels). The process of transforming wood into fibers must comply with EU Eco Label standards which set strict rules to obtain a product with a low environmental impact. Sustainable viscose allows a reduction in emissions and water consumption of 50% compared to a traditional viscose. Sustainable viscose is biodegradable.
02This cotton is grown without using chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and GMO-free on land treated with all toxic residues. Producers use natural fertilizers that do not harm the surrounding ecosystems, respect the soil and the people who work in its production. Organic cotton comes from plants that have not been genetically modified and not treated with chemicals during their transformation (detergents, dyes, etc.). The production of organic cotton requires much less water than that of traditional cotton.
Silk, a fluid and soft material
01Nothing beats the discreet luxury and refinement of silk. Silk is well known as the noble material par excellence, precious and of exceptional quality. Light and delicate, it brings a lot of femininity to the products. Silk is resistant, comfortable and has a high insulating power.
02Mainly cultivated for its vegetable textile fibres, flax is the essential material for the summer season. A symbol of elegance, fluid and airy, linen is very comfortable to wear. Its absorbent power regulates the temperature between the body and the garment.
Cotton, a popular material
03Cotton is a vegetable fibre, derived from the fruit of the cotton plant. Known for its many properties, it is the most widely used fibre for thousands of years. Soft and comfortable, cotton knitwear is a real pleasure to wear. Cotton is a classic fabric that is timeless, essential and breathable. Insulating, it can be worn in both winter and summer.

Cupro
Viscose, "artificial silk"
01Vegetable fibre made from plant cellulose - such as wood cellulose or flax - and then regenerated. Its properties are similar to those of cotton: not very elastic, wrinkle-free, with high absorbency. Silky and colourfast, it gives your skin the softness of a caress.
Lyocell, the ecological fabric
02It is a 100% cellulosic and biodegradable fibre produced from wood pulp (eucalyptus pulp) treated with a non-toxic and recyclable solvent. Good moisture absorption. Wrinkle-free. Known as Tencel™, lyocell is very soft to the touch, very pleasant to wear and supple.
Modal, the "must" of comfort
03Modal is an alternative and very resistant material. It is a type of viscose, obtained by spinning wood cellulose fibres (beech). Unlike viscose, modal is an ecological fibre. Modal is a very soft, beautiful fabric that absorbs moisture well, does not wrinkle, and is flexible and breathable. Modal is a very soft, lightweight material, ideal in summer.
The cupro, the soft and ecological material
04Cupro is an artificial textile fibre made from cotton waste. The fabric itself once made is completely biodegradable. With its luxurious appearance and very pleasant to wear, the "peach skin" and silky touch is particularly appreciated in summer. It is a fabric that by its high breathability and rapid absorption of moisture or air is antiperspirant. It is also thermo-regulating and hypo-allergenic.
